In the course of their long career (44 years and counting), Black Sabbath altered the sound of music, became a cornerstone for every teenager who didn’t fit in and, in the process, redefined what was possible in rock. The band's now back together, but only consists of Osbourne, Iommi, and Butler with Brad Wilk on drums and percussion for 13 due to Bill Ward's contractual issues and some fighting going on between him and Ozzy. In February 2009, Heaven and Hell announced that they are recording a new album, The Devil You Know, with a release date of April 28, 2009. The early 1980s line-up featuring Dio, Iommi, Butler, and Vinny Appice reformed in 2006 under the moniker Heaven and Hell, a title taken from the 1980 Black Sabbath song and album of the same name. The original lineup reunited with Osbourne in 1997 and released a live album, Reunion, which spawned the Grammy Award-winning single " Iron Man" in 2000, thirty years after the song's initial release on the album Paranoid. Ozzy Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979, and while initially replaced by former Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio, Black Sabbath would see a revolving lineup in the 1980s and 1990s that included vocalists Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, and Tony Martin. Ozzy Osbourne quit and was briefly replaced by Dave Walker. They were ranked by MTV as the Greatest Metal Bands of all time.
